Miami – September 28, 2026 -- Finastra unveiled a new Supply Chain Finance (SCF) solution at Sibos 2026, aiming to help banks scale working capital programs and accelerate time to market through cloud, AI and API-enabled infrastructure.
Platform integrates with Trade Innovation and Loan IQ via Nexus API suite
The end-to-end SCF platform supports buyer and supplier acquisition, onboarding, fulfillment, servicing, risk management and secondary market distribution. It connects with ERP systems and trade ecosystem partners through Finastra's Nexus API suite, and is built on a cloud-native architecture with deployment options ranging from on-premise to SaaS.
Native risk distribution enables automated secondary market trading
The first phase of the rollout includes native risk distribution capabilities, with automated pricing, limit management and reconciliation for secondary market transactions. Finastra said the platform is designed to support thousands of counterparties and millions of invoices through straight-through processing and real-time servicing.
AI-enabled tools target fraud detection and compliance screening
Embedded AI functionality covers fraud detection, compliance screening and eligibility monitoring within operational workflows, addressing what Finastra described as rising regulatory complexity facing banks in trade finance.
Future releases to add purchase order and inventory finance modules
Finastra plans to expand the platform's capabilities in subsequent releases to include purchase order finance, pre- to post-shipment finance, inventory finance and distributor finance.
Vinay Mendonca, Head of Product, Trade Supply Chain Finance and Corporate Channels at Finastra, said banks are seeking faster ways to launch working capital products through straight-through-processing journeys while managing operational risk and regulatory demands. The SCF launch marks what Finastra calls a milestone in the evolution of its Trade Innovation platform toward a modular, cloud-ready, API-first ecosystem.
