Firstup Adds MCP AI Access, ISO 42001 Certification in Q3 Release

San Francisco – September 07, 2026 -- Firstup has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System and launched Model Context Protocol integration that puts workforce communications directly inside Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, part of a Q3 platform release the company says puts it on pace to deliver 60% more capability to customers in 2026 than in 2025.

ISO/IEC 42001 certification validates Firstup's AI governance controls

The certification, awarded in August following an independent audit, covers risk assessment, accountability structures, operational controls, and ongoing monitoring of Firstup's AI systems. CTO Vinod Malhotra said the certification independently validates the company's approach to human oversight, privacy, transparency and accountability in its AI deployments.

MCP integration surfaces Firstup content inside Copilot and ChatGPT

Using Model Context Protocol, employees can query organizational Firstup communications, topics and people directly within Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, receiving cited company communications rather than generated guesses. Access remains scoped to permissions employees already hold in Firstup, and organizations connect existing enterprise Copilot or ChatGPT deployments without adding a new tool.

New integrations link Firstup to SAP SuccessFactors and Dayforce

The release connects Firstup to enterprise HR systems so employees can submit time-off requests, approve requests and update personal details inside Firstup, with changes saved automatically back to SAP SuccessFactors. A separate Dayforce integration lets employees view payslips and time-off balances directly on Firstup's web or mobile interface.

Additional features target personalization, AI usage tracking and email compliance

The release adds custom homepage shortcuts, an AI Usage Report giving leaders visibility into AI adoption, alias commenting for brand or team accounts with admin accountability, and an Email Reachability Management page showing unsubscribe status with one-click bulk resubscribe.

Forrester study credits Firstup with $8.9 million in benefits, 398% ROI

A Forrester Total Economic Impact study found Firstup's platform delivered $8.9 million in benefits and 398% ROI for a composite organization based on interviewed customers. Firstup also announced a Customer Innovation Program pairing product teams with enterprise communications, HR and IT leaders to co-design future platform capabilities, building on customer input gathered through its Idea Portal. Firstup reaches employees across more than 180 countries, according to the company.
