San Jose, Calif. – September 23, 2026 -- Flatkey and Realset AI have raised $10 million in Series A funding after the AI infrastructure platform surpassed 10,000 developers in the two months since its July 2026 launch.
Flatkey consolidates over 100 AI models and 1,000 tools under one API key
The platform routes developer traffic to more than 100 official AI models from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Kimi and GLM, alongside image and video models such as Seedance. It also connects developers to more than 1,000 AI tools spanning search, browsing, data enrichment and media generation, all billed through a single balance and invoice.
Volume purchasing cuts model costs to 60-90% of list price
Flatkey buys upstream capacity in bulk, pricing most models at around 80% of providers' official list prices, with select models discounted to 60% or lower under ongoing promotions. Every API call is routed to the provider's official endpoint; the company does not self-host modified or quantized versions under the original model's name.
Series A proceeds will fund model additions and routing infrastructure
The new capital will go toward adding more official models and tools to the platform and scaling the infrastructure that routes developer traffic to them.
Fragmented provider stacks push developers toward single-key infrastructure
A production team combining models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and DeepSeek with a video model like Seedance plus search and browser tools would typically manage seven or more separate provider accounts, each with its own top-up, API key, rate limit and invoice. Flatkey reduces that to one key, one balance and one invoice, turning the addition of a new model or tool into a parameter change rather than a new vendor relationship.
Migration requires only a base URL change for existing OpenAI-compatible code
Flatkey positions itself as a drop-in replacement for any OpenAI-compatible client, allowing developers to switch by changing the base URL while keeping existing code intact. The company adds new models through official channels on release day, avoiding the need for teams to open new provider accounts each time a model ships.
"AI development is becoming less about choosing one model and more about combining models, data and tools across text, image, audio and video," said Hunter Guo, founder of Flatkey. "If developers can reach all of that through one key, the platform stops being a convenience layer and starts to look like infrastructure."
Subscription plans start at $10 per month with pay-as-you-go credits
New users receive $1 in free credit and can continue with pay-as-you-go credits or a monthly subscription plan starting at $10, covering both models and tools on a single balance.
