Tampa – September 19, 2026 -- FlyUSA has launched a $100 million Jet Card Recovery Program aimed at private flyers who lost access to prepaid funds held by other aviation providers, allowing qualifying customers to earn back up to 100% of a verified stranded balance in flight credits without making a new deposit.
Qualifying customers pay as they fly instead of prepaying again
Under the program, participants receive a complimentary FlyUSA Gold Membership valued at $4,995 and book flights on a pay-as-you-go basis. For every $1 of qualifying flight spend with FlyUSA, customers earn $0.20 in promotional flight credits toward their verified stranded balance -- meaning a customer with a $100,000 stranded balance could recover that amount after $500,000 in qualifying flight spend.
Recovery scales with balance size, from $50,000 to $500,000
FlyUSA outlined tiered examples: a $50,000 stranded balance could yield up to $50,000 in flight credits, a $250,000 balance up to $250,000, and a $500,000 balance up to $500,000 in credits, subject to program terms and a $100 million aggregate cap across all participants.
CEO Barry Shevlin ties launch to ONEflight International's flight pause
The program follows a Sept. 15, 2026 report by Private Jet Card Comparisons that private jet broker ONEflight International was pausing flights for at least 30 days, a move that could affect customers holding prepaid balances. "Someone who has already had a significant amount of money stranded with a private aviation provider shouldn't have to make another six-figure deposit just to start flying again," said Shevlin, FlyUSA's CEO.
Company operates under its own FAA Part 135 certificate
FlyUSA operates aircraft under its own Federal Aviation Administration Part 135 certificate and provides aircraft management, charter, maintenance and 24/7 operational support, sourcing aircraft through a nationwide network when trips require capacity outside its managed fleet.
Eligibility requires documentation of unused balances with other providers
FlyUSA said it will confidentially review documentation establishing a customer's unused or inaccessible balance with another private aviation provider to determine eligibility, including availability of remaining funds under the program's $100 million aggregate limit. The company stressed that the $100 million figure represents the maximum face value of promotional credits potentially available and does not reflect cash held, reserved or escrowed for participants, and that FlyUSA does not assume, purchase or repay obligations owed by a participant's previous provider.
The program is available immediately to qualifying flyers nationwide, with no new jet card deposit required to apply.
