Fosun International Hits Record AA+ in Hang Seng Sustainability Rating

Hong Kong – September 09, 2026 -- Fosun International Limited (HKEX: 00656) has had its Hang Seng Sustainability Rating upgraded from AA- to AA+, a record high for the Group, following the 2026 ratings review by Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited that took effect the same day.

Rating upgrade breaks three-year plateau at AA-

Fosun had held the AA- rating for three consecutive years before this year's jump to AA+. The Hang Seng Sustainability Rating covers approximately 500 Hong Kong-listed companies within the Hang Seng Composite Index and more than 1,300 A-share companies in the Hang Seng China A (Investable) Index, based on a framework developed by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency assessing seven core indicators including corporate governance, environment and fair operating practices.

Fosun ranks in top 10% for governance and environment metrics

The Group placed among the top 10% of participating Hong Kong-listed companies in Corporate Governance, Environment, Consumer Issues, and Community Involvement and Development for 2026. Fosun was also named a constituent of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index for the seventh consecutive year and added to the Hang Seng ESG 50 Index.

MSCI lifts Fosun to top AAA rating under new methodology

Under the revised MSCI ESG Ratings 5.0 methodology, Fosun's MSCI ESG Rating was upgraded to AAA, the highest tier. The Group was also included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 and ranked in the Top 1% of the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2026 for the third consecutive year. Fosun's FTSE Russell ESG score has consistently exceeded the global industry average, and the company has remained in the FTSE4Good Index Series for five consecutive years.

Fosun publishes fourth climate disclosure report in 2026

The Group released its fourth Climate Information Disclosures Report in 2026, expanding the scope and transparency of its climate-related reporting as it supports China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality targets. As of June 30, 2026, Fosun International reported total assets of RMB712.3 billion.
