FOTON Exports Jump 44.3% as It Unveils Europe Strategy at IAA Hanover

Hanover – September 12, 2026 -- FOTON exported 149,000 vehicles between January and August 2026, up 44.3% year-on-year, as the Chinese commercial vehicle maker uses IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover to launch a full European market strategy.

FOTON occupies over 1,000 square meters in Hall 21 under the theme 'EASY MOVE'

The company is displaying seven complete vehicles and six in-house-developed key components spanning long-haul logistics, urban waste collection, city distribution and public passenger transport. Exhibits include new-energy models alongside self-developed high-performance batteries, electric axles, electronic control systems and multi-megawatt charging stations.

New-energy products hold WVTA and VECTO certification

FOTON's new-energy vehicles are gaining traction across European markets under these certifications. A regional parts distribution center in Unna, Germany, is now operational, supporting an after-sales network built on 32 overseas plants, more than 1,200 sales points and over 1,500 service points that together form a closed-loop system covering vehicle delivery, parts supply and maintenance.

Three strategic announcements set for Media Day on September 14

Scheduled from 8:40 to 9:10 a.m. local German time (livestreamed in China from 2:40 to 3:10 p.m.), FOTON will unveil a renewed European market strategy covering its new-energy product lineup, localized commercial operations and a service ecosystem aimed at supporting the region's low-carbon transition in commercial vehicles.

The company will also mark delivery of its 13 millionth vehicle globally, with the unit entering the Spanish market first. Separately, FOTON will launch the CAVAN BEACON, a heavy-duty truck running on electric and hydrogen power designed for routes exceeding 300 km, alongside seven new electric vehicles and six in-house components including three electric motors and megawatt-scale charging technology.

Supply chain partners ZF, CATL and EVE Energy join the exhibition

The booth will remain open to dealers, customers and media from September 15 to 20, with ZF, CATL and EVE Energy present to showcase their collaboration within FOTON's supply chain.
