Hannover – September 12, 2026 -- Chinese commercial vehicle maker FOTON reported an export volume of 149,000 units between January and August 2026, a 44.3% increase year-on-year, as it opened a 1,000-square-meter exhibit at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover.

FOTON deploys seven vehicles and six self-developed components at Hall 21 booth

Under the theme "EASY MOVE," the company is showcasing seven complete vehicles and six core components engineered for European transport scenarios spanning long-haul logistics, urban waste collection, city delivery, and public transit. The lineup includes new-energy drive models alongside self-developed batteries, e-axles, electronic control units, and megawatt charging stations.

FOTON's European regional spare parts distribution center in Unna, Germany, has begun operations to improve local service response times. The company now operates 32 localized plants abroad, more than 1,200 sales outlets, and over 1,500 service points, forming a closed-loop system for vehicle delivery, parts supply, and maintenance.

Media day on September 14 to reveal Europe strategy and 13-millionth vehicle

FOTON will present three announcements during a media briefing scheduled for 08:40–09:10 CEST on September 14 (livestreamed in China from 14:40–15:10). The company will outline a new European market strategy covering new-energy product development, localized operations, and a service ecosystem aimed at low-carbon commercial vehicle transformation. It will also mark the global delivery of its 13-millionth vehicle, with the unit first entering the Spanish market.

CAVAN BEACON electric-hydrogen truck targets 300-km-plus routes

The briefing will introduce the CAVAN BEACON, a dual electric/hydrogen heavy-duty truck built for long-haul routes exceeding 300 km, alongside seven new-energy vehicles and six self-developed components including triple electric drive systems and megawatt charging technology.

Suppliers ZF, CATL and EVE Energy join booth through September 20

The exhibit remains open to dealers, customers, and media from September 15 to 20, with supply chain partners ZF, CATL, and EVE Energy present at the stand to demonstrate joint manufacturing capabilities.
