Taipei – October 12, 2026 -- Kathy Yang, General Manager of Global Campus Operations and Head of AI Software Business and AI Infrastructure at Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) (TWSE:2317), has been named to Fortune's Most Powerful Women Asia 2026 list for the second consecutive year.
Technology leads the 2026 list with 16 honorees, ahead of banking's 14
Technology is the most represented sector in this year's ranking. Fortune's Asia list Senior Manager Charmian Choo said the sector's prominence reflects its growing influence on Asia's economy, with established leaders and a newer generation both rising.
Yang's remit covers more than 240 Foxconn sites in 24 countries
Yang's responsibilities span Foxconn's global campus operations and its AI software and AI infrastructure businesses. Her work combines the group's manufacturing scale, engineering capabilities and operational know-how with software, data, computing infrastructure and AI. Earlier in 2026, Fortune also included her in its Most Powerful Women in Business list.
Yang said the challenge is not deploying technology but redesigning work, investing in reskilling and helping a global workforce of women and men evolve with it. In her view, "the best factories will not simply be the most automated, but those where humans, AI and robots make one another better."
Former rotating CEO also chairs JUSDA and sits on the FII board
Yang previously served as Foxconn's Rotating CEO, the first woman in the role. She focused on enterprise-wide execution, cross-business alignment and governance discipline. She is also a Board Director of Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII) and Chairwoman and CEO of JUSDA, both key Foxconn units.
