Frederick Arts Council Opens Vendor Applications for Winter Artist Market

Frederick, Md. – October 01, 2026 -- The Frederick Arts Council (FAC), in partnership with the YMCA Ausherman Arts Center (YAAC), has opened vendor applications for the Winter Artist Market, scheduled for November 27–28 at 115 E. Church St. in downtown Frederick, Maryland.

Vendor applications close October 28 at 11:59 p.m.

Artists and makers across creative disciplines can submit applications through Slideroom ahead of the deadline. Selected vendors will sell handmade artwork and creative goods over the two-day event during the holiday shopping season.

FAC marks 50 years of arts programming in 2026

The market is positioned within FAC's broader slate of community arts initiatives, which also includes Sky Stage, the Frederick Festival of the Arts, Art in the Park, the Public Art Initiative, and Frederick County's Arts in Education grants. "Providing artists with opportunities to share and sell their work is an important part of supporting a thriving and sustainable creative community," said Louise Kennelly, executive director of the Frederick Arts Council.

Event targets local commerce during peak holiday retail window

By staging the market over the Thanksgiving weekend, organizers aim to connect Frederick-area artists with direct consumer sales during one of the highest-traffic shopping periods of the year.
