Seoul – October 02, 2026 -- Agricultural Corporation Geumsan Insamju will exhibit at the 2026 International Ginseng Trade Fair running October 2-11 at the Geumsan World Ginseng Expo plaza, targeting domestic and international buyers for its traditional ginseng liquor line.
Food Master-certified producer operates booth with live distillation demonstrations
The company, based in Geumsan, South Chungcheong Province, carries a ginseng liquor-making technique designated Korea's Food Master No. 2 and Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 19. Its Food Master will lead on-site production demonstrations alongside tastings of yakju (medicinal rice wine) and general distilled spirits made from domestic rice and ginseng.
Production method adds ginseng during fermentation, not after distillation
Geumsan Insamju distinguishes its spirits by incorporating ginseng at the fermentation stage with domestic rice and nuruk, followed by vacuum distillation, rather than infusing ginseng into an already-finished liquor. The company has also diversified alcohol content levels and modernized packaging to appeal to younger consumers while retaining the traditional technique.
Company pursues U.S. market entry through export voucher program
Geumsan Insamju is using a government-linked export voucher program to produce foreign-language promotional videos and commission market-entry strategy consulting covering U.S. consumer characteristics, distribution, and marketing channels. The trade fair will serve as a direct touchpoint to gauge overseas buyer demand and identify new export markets and sales channels, with the United States as the initial target before expansion into additional export regions.
