GUDEA Reaches Top 20 at TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield

Minneapolis – October 14, 2026 -- GUDEA, an AI-powered narrative intelligence platform, has been named a Top 20 Finalist in the Startup Battlefield 200 competition at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, selected from more than 2,500 startups that applied worldwide.

GUDEA will compete for a $100,000 equity-free prize on the Disrupt Stage

The company will pitch on the Disrupt Stage in San Francisco for the $100,000 equity-free grand prize and the Disrupt Cup. TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 runs October 13-15 at Moscone West.

GUDEA says it is the sole representative of the Narrative Intelligence category among the Top 20 finalists.

The finalist selection follows a $7 million seed round co-led by Mudita Venture Partners and Collide Capital

The recognition comes days after GUDEA announced the $7 million seed round. The company plans to use the funding to expand its work helping organizations detect, understand, and respond to rapidly evolving online narratives.

Gartner expects 45% of CCOs to adopt narrative intelligence tools by 2029

Gartner published its inaugural Emerging Market Quadrant for Narrative Intelligence this year, and the advisory firm predicts that 45% of Chief Communications Officers will adopt these tools by 2029.

Keith Presley, co-founder and CEO of GUDEA, said organizations need context and reliable signals to act before a narrative takes hold, since narratives can shape markets, brands, and public trust almost instantly.

GUDEA's platform separates authentic from potentially coordinated online activity

The platform combines advanced analytics, behavioral intelligence, and real-time monitoring, aiming to take enterprises, public institutions, and other organizations beyond traditional social listening. Clients can identify emerging reputational threats and distinguish authentic from potentially coordinated online activity. They can also see who is driving conversations, how narratives spread, and where they may gain traction.
