Halfpricesoft Launches ezW2 2026 With Direct SSA, IRS E-Filing

Redmond – October 15, 2026 -- Halfpricesoft.com released ezW2 2026, tax software that starts at $119.00 per single installation for the E-File version and $69.00 for the Print-and-Mail edition, ahead of the 2027 tax season.

Both editions support unlimited forms for unlimited companies. The software covers W-2, W-3, 1099-NEC and 1096 preparation.

Direct in-app filing removes the need for agency accounts

The recommended filing path transmits W-2/W-3 data to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and 1099-NEC/1096 forms to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from inside the application. Users do not need an IRS Transmitter Control Code (TCC) or SSA registration, so they skip those application processes.

Submissions run through Halfpricesoft's authorized systems. The company says users get real-time status updates and error monitoring.

Self-filing option generates .txt files for SSA and IRS portals

Users who prefer to file on their own can have ezW2 generate approved electronic file formats (.txt). These contain W-2/W-3 data for the SSA or 1099-NEC/1096 data for the IRS. Files are uploaded through the user's own SSA Business Services Online (BSO) account or the IRS FIRE/IR-TCC portal.

Import and PDF tools target manual data entry

ezW2 2026 imports employee, contractor and payment details from external .csv files or spreadsheet formats. It exports employee W-2s and contractor 1099s as PDF documents for digital distribution.

Founder Dr. Ge said the aim is to make year-end tax reporting seamless and less stressful.

Software runs on Windows and on macOS through virtual environments

ezW2 2026 is compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8, 7 and Windows Server. It runs on macOS via virtual environments. A demo is available for testing for up to 30 days.
