SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Jan. 29, 2025 – Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) is pleased to announce the installation of its first Jetfire 50 digital printing systems at customer sites in Switzerland and Germany. Gremper AG in Switzerland will be the first customer to use the new industrial inkjet system, which is scheduled to start operating in March 2025. Meinders & Elstermann GmbH & Co. KG in Germany will also be installing a Jetfire 50 in April.

Gremper AG Invests in Hybrid Production for Capacity Expansion

Gremper AG, a leading player in the high-end printing segment in Switzerland, has decided to invest in a hybrid production environment that combines offset and digital printing systems. The company will be installing a Jetfire 50 and two Versafire systems from HEIDELBERG. This investment will allow Gremper to expand its market position and efficiently produce top-quality results for a wide range of print products, including substantial four-color runs with different surface finishes and short runs with customized content.

Meinders & Elstermann Embraces Digital Transformation with Jetfire 50

Meinders & Elstermann GmbH & Co. KG, a leading commercial and packaging printing company in Germany, will be the first customer in the country to use a Jetfire 50. The company plans to use the new system to produce high-quality short runs and personalized mailings, a growing product segment that benefits from standardized, automated production. CEO Jens Rauschen emphasized the importance of Prinect workflow integration, particularly the upcoming Prinect Touch Free software, in his decision to purchase the Jetfire 50. He believes that fully automatic control of production processes is essential for profitable print production in today's challenging market environment.

Schmid-Fehr AG Joins the Jetfire 50 Family

In addition to Gremper and Meinders & Elstermann, Schmid-Fehr AG in Switzerland will also be taking a Jetfire 50 into operation this spring. This move will further integrate print production into Prinect technology and enable the company to offer end-to-end digitalization and automation of its processes.

HEIDELBERG's Growth Strategy for the Core Business

The strong demand for HEIDELBERG's new digital printing portfolio reflects the growing market for industrial digital printing. The company's hybrid approach of integrating offset and digital printing systems into a single workflow provides customers with a competitive advantage and positions HEIDELBERG for continued growth in its core business. The global digital printing market, including service and consumables, is expected to grow from 5 billion euros to 7.5 billion euros by 2029.
