High Lander Closes Funding Round to Push Into US Defense Market

Global – October 19, 2026 -- High Lander has completed a funding round backed by EDGE Group, STEP, Protego and Kinetica, with proceeds earmarked for expansion in the United States and other international markets and a push into defense and homeland security. The source does not disclose the size of the round.

Capital targets US expansion and three software platforms

The funds will support continued development of Vega (Unmanned Traffic Management), Orion (Drone Fleet Management) and Andromeda, the company's newest platform. They will also finance the extension of High Lander's technology into defense, homeland security and dual-use applications.

Andromeda brings hardware-agnostic airspace security to the portfolio

Andromeda is an AI-powered operational intelligence platform that builds a unified operational picture of low-altitude airspace. Its open architecture lets sensors and effectors from multiple vendors run under a single control layer. High Lander plans to combine its own airspace management capabilities with partner technologies for detection, classification, tracking and operational response.

EDGE Group deepens an existing relationship with High Lander

EDGE Group made an additional investment, building on its existing strategic relationship with the company. STEP, Protego and Kinetica extend High Lander's reach into the U.S. autonomous systems market and the global defense technology ecosystem. The investor group covers autonomous systems, aerospace, defense technology, homeland security and international expansion.

Founder and CEO Alon Abelson said the round will accelerate key strategic initiatives and significantly expand international operations. He described the company's goal as becoming the "software layer that connects autonomy, aviation, and security."

Lital Leshem, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Protego, said rising drone adoption is increasing demand for a unified aerial picture, threat detection and coordinated real-time response. She identified High Lander's ability to integrate diverse systems under a single command-and-control layer as particularly significant.
