Northbrook, Ill. – September 07, 2026 -- Hilco Real Estate, LLC is accepting bids until September 22 for a four-property portfolio along the Guadalupe River in the New Braunfels-Canyon Lake area of Texas, sold through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy process.

Bankruptcy sale offers assets individually or combined

The sale is directed by Gregory S. Milligan of Harney Partners as Chief Restructuring Officer for two jointly administered debtors, Kona Coast Venture, LTD and Hideout on the Horseshoe, LLC. The case is pending before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division, under Case No. 26-51866. Buyers can pursue any single asset or combination, according to Hilco.

Portfolio centers on 5,600-capacity Whitewater Amphitheater

The flagship asset is Whitewater Amphitheater, a riverfront outdoor concert venue entering its 20th year of operation. Past performers include Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, ZZ Top, Miranda Lambert, Travis Scott, Chance the Rapper, Halsey, Zach Bryan and The Avett Brothers. The venue received Academy of Country Music Venue of the Year nominations, including Outdoor Venue of the Year in 2022 and Medium Capacity Venue of the Year in 2018.

Vacation rentals and river-access assets round out the offering

Hideout on the Horseshoe, at 515 FM 2673, spans approximately 4 acres and includes 19 renovated short-term rental cabins with direct river access. Whitewater Condos, a 1.26-acre property at 546 Riverside Path, features three rental units and serves as the primary put-in point for Andy's River Toobs, a tubing operation on the Guadalupe River's Horseshoe Loop.

Commercial parcel generates multiple income streams

The fourth asset, a 1.52-acre commercial property at 12020 FM 306, houses Andy's River Toobs and Jay & Diane's Horseshoe Grill, a 1,048-square-foot burger stand operating for more than 17 years. The site also carries a double-sided billboard leased to SignAd Outdoor Advertising through April 2036 and provides overflow parking for the amphitheater.

The broader New Braunfels tourism market generated approximately $1.3 billion in economic impact in 2024. The city's population reached an estimated 122,492 residents in 2025, up roughly 35.5% since 2020, with Interstate 35 providing direct access between Austin and San Antonio.
