Atlanta – September 29, 2026 -- Hitron Technologies and Airties unveiled a joint connectivity platform at SCTE TechExpo26 designed to help internet service providers monetize small and medium business customers, a segment the companies say has been underserved by existing residential and enterprise offerings.
The solution pairs Hitron's high-performance SMB gateways with Airties Pro software, targeting the gap between low-cost residential broadband and complex, expensive enterprise-grade systems. Hitron and Airties are already working with several service providers to bring the combined offering to their SMB customer bases.
Research shows 100% of SMBs report revenue loss from internet outages
According to Global Technology Industry Association data cited by the companies, 96% of SMBs consider technology central to meeting business objectives, 46% are increasing technology spending year over year, and all surveyed SMBs said an internet outage would halt operations or cause significant revenue loss. Separate Hitron research from 2026 found 43% of SMBs spend significant effort comparing multiple providers before choosing a connectivity solution, with network separation, coverage, and staff internet-use visibility ranked as top priorities.
Combined platform adds business-grade security without enterprise complexity
The joint system offers secure, multi-layer network access for SMBs, ISPs, and channel partners, letting businesses configure separate employee and guest networks and create branded Wi-Fi portals. Zero-touch installation and self-care checks through a mobile app are designed to remove the need for dedicated IT staff, while AI-driven optimization runs in the background to address network issues proactively.
Metin Taskin, CEO and co-founder of Airties, called closing the product gap between residential and enterprise platforms a "strategic imperative" for operators seeking new revenue streams. Greg Fisher, President and CTO at Hitron, said the partnership gives ISPs "the performance foundation and the intelligence" needed to convert an underserved segment into a differentiated offering.
ISPs gain population-level data to refine SMB service tiers
Beyond individual business accounts, the platform gives ISPs aggregated visibility across their SMB customer base, intended to help operators refine features and pricing. The companies position the offering as a way to lift average revenue per user above standard residential broadband rates while lowering cost-to-serve through remote monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities.
Airties and Hitron are demonstrating the joint platform at SCTE TechExpo26 in Atlanta, running September 29 to October 1, at the Hitron Americas booth I1528.
