HoneyNaps Gains CRO Status, Expands AI Sleep Data Services for Pharma

Boston – October 01, 2026 -- HoneyNaps, an AI-based sleep health technology company, has completed registration as a clinical research organization (CRO) with South Korea's National Enterprise for Clinical Trials (KoNECT), broadening its role in pharmaceutical and medical device trials worldwide.

HoneyNaps secures CRO registration with KoNECT, expanding multicenter trial capacity

The company has supported clinical trials involving more than 10,000 participants and can now operate multicenter, multidisciplinary studies under its new CRO status. The registration formalizes HoneyNaps' position as a provider of standardized sleep data analysis for pharmaceutical companies, medical device developers, and research organizations.

SOMNUM platform quantifies polysomnography data for pharma, device and wellness clients

HoneyNaps' SOMNUM scoring technology quantifies sleep stages, respiratory events, and arousals captured through polysomnography (PSG), generating clinical endpoints tailored to each study's objectives. Demand is coming from clinical trials of sleep medications, evaluations of wellness sleep devices and home-care products, and studies involving positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy and cardiovascular disease research.

Company expands beyond scoring into clinical analysis services to diversify revenue

HoneyNaps is extending its business beyond core sleep scoring into clinical analysis services spanning pharmaceutical, wellness, and medical device sectors. Data quantifying sleep architecture and continuity, respiratory patterns, and oxygen saturation changes is being positioned as foundational evidence for future digital biomarker development.

Taekyoung (Sean) Ha, PhD, President of HoneyNaps USA, said pharmaceutical companies, device developers, and research organizations share a need for objective and consistent sleep data, adding that the company is expanding both the applications of its scoring technology and the business areas contributing to revenue.
