Shanghai – September 21, 2026 -- Huawei has launched its Fintelligent AI Solution worldwide, targeting the security, scalability, and sustainability barriers that have limited large-scale AI deployment across the global financial industry.
The announcement came at the Global Finance Summit held during HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, where Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei's Digital Finance BU, delivered a keynote titled "Owning Your AI, Advancing Agentic Banking." Cao told financial customers that competition in financial AI is shifting from model capability to enterprise-wide AI system capability, and that institutions must be able to choose, operate, replicate, and evolve their AI independently rather than relying on isolated applications or single vendor models.
Three intelligent factories anchor Huawei's new financial AI architecture
The solution is structured around three components: Agent Factory, Token Factory, and Data-Knowledge Factory. Agent Factory is designed to move banks from isolated AI applications to enterprise-wide agent deployment, supporting reuse and centralized governance of agent assets at scale. It is built on openJiuwen, an open-source, financial-grade agent platform engineered for multi-agent collaboration, stable long-running operations, and unified development and operations across the agent lifecycle.
Token Factory is powered by TokeNexus, a newly launched full-lifecycle Token operations solution covering planning, production, intelligent scheduling, and global optimization. Huawei says the system is intended to keep AI costs controllable and performance reliable as financial institutions scale Token consumption. Data-Knowledge Factory converts bank data, documents, and internal rules into knowledge that agents can access and trust, accumulating into what Huawei terms each bank's own "Domain Intelligence."
New Financial Agentic Data Solution and AI Coding tool target legacy systems
Huawei also introduced the Financial Agentic Data Solution, which centers on data and knowledge pipelines to continuously feed high-value information to financial agents. A complementary AI Coding Solution uses an ontology-centric approach to extract business rules embedded in legacy banking code, converting them into reusable knowledge assets aimed at accelerating core system modernization.
Nine lighthouse cases unveiled alongside banking and insurance partners
At the summit, Huawei and representatives from banking, insurance, and securities firms unveiled the 2026 Huawei Global Financial Lighthouse, featuring nine lighthouse practices intended as reference cases for digital and intelligent transformation across the financial sector.
Huawei stated it has worked in the financial industry for 16 years, serving more than 7,100 financial customers across over 80 countries and regions, including 54 of the world's top 100 banks.
