Wright brings eight years of Credit Karma leadership to ID.me's legal function
Wright joins after serving as Chief Legal Officer & Secretary of Credit Karma, where she built a 60-person legal, compliance, and government affairs organization as the company grew from $500 million to nearly $2 billion in revenue and surpassed 140 million members. She will now lead ID.me's legal, compliance, and government affairs operations. Wright previously led compliance at Tesla and SolarCity and worked as a felony prosecutor in Atlanta. She was named "General Counsel of the Year" by Women, Influence & Power in Law in 2020.
Whelan arrives from Mastercard where he oversaw a 350-person engineering team
Whelan most recently served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Mastercard, leading over 350 product managers, engineers, and data engineers on AI and real-time decisioning systems. He previously spent three years as Vice President of Engineering at Chime, managing a 200-person organization spanning risk, member services, identity management, and data engineering. At ID.me, he will lead all product and platform engineering.
