The update strips outdated language from structured reporting workflows across mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and pathology. Terms such as "developing asymmetry" in mammography and "focus" in breast MRI have been eliminated to match the revised ACR standard, reducing inconsistency in radiologist reporting.
Method of Detection tracking gains expanded auditing tools
Ikonopedia has offered Method of Detection (MOD) tracking since 2024, a feature now emphasized under BI-RADS v2025's push for radiologists to assign detection method at the point of reporting. The 2026.08.0 release adds enhanced auditing and analytics capabilities, letting practices connect cancer outcomes to screening and clinical presentation data for quality improvement programs.
