Sydney – September 30, 2026 -- IMG (International Medical Group) has completed its acquisition of World Nomads, a deal first announced in February 2026, extending its travel insurance distribution network across seven major markets.
Deal expands IMG's footprint into US, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Canada
The combined entity will now distribute travel protection and assistance products across these markets, reaching travelers from more than 100 countries who previously relied on World Nomads' specialized adventure travel coverage.

Founded in 2002, World Nomads built its business around coverage for emergency medical expenses, evacuation, trip cancellation, airline delays, and more than 250 adventure sports and activities, alongside baggage and gear protection. The brand also operates the Footprints program, allowing customers to add small donations to their plans supporting community development projects.

IMG, which has operated since 1990 offering international private medical insurance, travel medical insurance, and 24/7 emergency assistance services, will integrate World Nomads' adventure travel specialization with its existing global resources and assistance infrastructure.
