Chicago – September 24, 2026 -- Keeper Security has launched a zero-knowledge Google Chat integration that lets organizations approve privileged access requests, retrieve credentials and manage secrets without leaving Google Workspace.
Integration eliminates tool-switching for privileged access approvals
The new Google Chat App allows teams to submit vault access requests with justification and custom permission levels, retrieve secrets, and approve just-in-time elevation requests directly within chat channels. Administrators can enforce time-limited access windows and policy-driven approval routing without requiring users to navigate separate systems, while full audit trails and reporting remain intact.
Credentials never transit through Google or Keeper infrastructure
The app runs on an organization's existing infrastructure via Commander Service Mode, keeping credentials encrypted end-to-end so they never pass through external services. Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said the chat app functions purely as an interface, with encryption and verification occurring entirely within the customer's own environment.
Feature set covers vault access, endpoint privilege escalation and SSO device approvals
The integration supports vault record access requests with custom permissions and time-limited sessions, Endpoint Privilege Manager elevation approvals for just-in-time privilege escalation, and SSO Cloud device approvals for federated authentication workflows. It also delivers real-time request notifications within dedicated channels and centralized audit logging of all access requests, approvals and credential access for compliance visibility.
Availability restricted to active Keeper Secrets Manager and KeeperPAM licensees
The integration is available immediately to customers with active Keeper Secrets Manager or KeeperPAM licenses. Installation uses a guided setup process built on Keeper Secrets Manager to securely store the integration's configuration and credentials.
