New York – – September 17, 2026 -- KPS Capital Partners, LP has signed a definitive agreement to sell its portfolio company Metra to Warsaw-listed Grupa Kęty S.A. for €645 million, with closing expected in the first quarter of 2027 pending customary approvals.
Metra operates nine plants and 1,400 employees across Europe and North America
Metra, headquartered in Rodengo Saiano, Italy, is a vertically integrated manufacturer of extruded aluminum profiles offering painting, oxidation, machining, welding and assembly services. Its products serve rail, industrial and building & construction end-markets. The company runs nine global manufacturing facilities with roughly 1,400 employees.
KPS built the platform through five add-on acquisitions since 2021
KPS acquired Metra in July 2021 and, alongside its management team, expanded the company through five synergistic add-on acquisitions, new press and value-added services investments, and capacity expansions targeting rail, energy distribution and building & construction growth segments.
Grupa Kęty gains scale in aluminum extrusion, architectural and packaging markets
Grupa Kęty, traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange under ticker KTY, operates in aluminum extrusion, architectural and sun protection systems, and flexible packaging. The acquisition adds Metra's manufacturing footprint and value-added services capabilities to Grupa Kęty's existing portfolio, which includes facade systems, roller shutters, pergolas and BOPP packaging films.
Metra CEO Enrico Zampedri says the deal adds scale and technical depth
Zampedri said the combination with Grupa Kęty provides additional scale, technical depth, value-added services capabilities and a broader global footprint.
