New York – October 01, 2026 -- Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) has opened its first U.S. AI Innovation Lab in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, an investment expected to create up to 300 jobs in AI, technology consulting and design engineering over the next four years.
Kyndryl ties the Dallas lab to a four-phase model for enterprise AI deployment
The facility runs on the company's Agentic AI Framework combined with Kyndryl Consult, AI and infrastructure services, and the Kyndryl Vital design practice. Customers move through customer immersion, co-design, build and roadmap stages, using workshops and rapid prototyping to turn AI use cases into working prototypes within days and a defined path to production deployment.
"The future of AI will be built through collaboration, and our AI Innovation Lab in Dallas brings customers together with Kyndryl experts to unlock the full value of AI while strengthening America's innovation ecosystem," said Jamie Rutledge, President, Kyndryl U.S.
Modernization research shows AI now outpaces cost-cutting as a driver
Kyndryl's latest modernization research found that 34% of organizations are modernizing specifically to enable AI capabilities, ahead of the 29% citing cost reduction. The company's data also points to rising AI-driven demand across cloud, mainframe, network and edge environments, framing infrastructure modernization as a prerequisite for scaling AI rather than a legacy-retirement task.
Frisco lands a hub with DMV and cybersecurity specialization
The Dallas lab will house a dedicated team supporting Kyndryl's DMV solutions for motor vehicle agencies across the U.S., building reusable code, deployment best practices and AI-enhanced testing. It will also showcase Kyndryl's Cyber Defense Operations Center, a command hub unifying network and security operations for real-time monitoring and faster incident response across complex IT environments.
Kyndryl partners with NPower, Dallas AI and Tech Titans on workforce pipeline
Frisco Mayor Mark Hill said Kyndryl's decision to establish a major innovation hub in the city reflects the strength of the local talent pool and business environment. Kyndryl is an inaugural supporter of NPower's AI training program, which equips learners with skills in prompt engineering and automation, alongside collaborations with Dallas AI and Tech Titans to expand access to AI and emerging-technology training.
The Dallas facility joins Kyndryl's existing AI Innovation Labs in the United Kingdom and Luxembourg, expanding a global network built to help enterprise customers convert AI ambitions into deployed workflows.
