LandGate Maps 2,100+ European Data Centers After Wood Mackenzie Deal

Denver – October 01, 2026 -- LandGate has expanded its spatial intelligence platform to track more than 2,100 data center facilities across 10 European markets, adding site-level power, permitting and connectivity data to its existing U.S. coverage.

The expansion follows LandGate's acquisition by Wood Mackenzie in June 2026 and positions the company as a supplier of site-selection intelligence for hyperscale and AI-driven data center developers operating across Europe.

UK leads European coverage with 500+ facilities amid 70 GW of pending connection requests

The United Kingdom dominates LandGate's European dataset with more than 500 tracked facilities concentrated in the London and Slough corridor, where power connection requests now exceed 70 GW. Germany follows with 450+ facilities centered in Frankfurt, where the EnEfG Act will require new builds to hit a PUE of 1.2 or lower from July 2026 and shift to 100% renewable electricity by 2027.

France tracks 250+ sites as Brookfield commits €20 billion to a 1 GW Cambrai campus

LandGate counts over 250 facilities in Paris and Marseille, a footprint shaped by large capital commitments including Brookfield's €20 billion, 1 GW data center campus in Cambrai. In the Netherlands, roughly 198 facilities anchor around Amsterdam under national restrictions banning builds over 10 hectares or 70 MW outside designated zones, alongside regional grid caps running through 2030.

Ireland data centers consumed 21% of national power in 2023, driving new sourcing mandates

LandGate's Irish dataset covers 122+ facilities centered in Dublin, where data centers accounted for 21% of national electricity consumption in 2023. Regulators now require on-site dispatchable generation or storage paired with 80% new renewable sourcing for future builds.

Remaining coverage spans Italy (180+ facilities in Milan), Spain (130+ in Madrid and Aragón), Sweden (121+ in Stockholm, Falun and Luleå), Poland (107+ across Warsaw, Katowice and Poznań), and Switzerland (105+ in Zurich and Geneva), each shaped by distinct energy, land-cost or municipal constraints.

Platform delivers facility data via GIS, API, direct export and MCP server access

LandGate distributes the dataset through an interactive GIS platform, API and direct data export carrying gross power, white space, rack capacity, PUE and operator contact details, and an MCP Server URL enabling natural-language queries through enterprise AI agents.
