LGMG Electric Mining Truck Charges 20% to 90% in 23 Minutes

Ordos – October 12, 2026 -- LGMG says its ultra-fast charging electric mining truck can recharge its battery from 20% to 90% in 23 minutes under test conditions, with peak charging power of approximately 3.6 MW. The company presented the truck at its inaugural Global Mining Customer Service Festival in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, held Oct. 9-11 and attended by more than 500 representatives of mining companies, industry organizations, technology partners and the media.

LGMG reports nearly 800 kWh delivered in 18 minutes

The company said its charging system can deliver nearly 800 kWh in 18 minutes under extreme operating conditions. The truck uses a 3C fast-charging architecture and a high-density, large-capacity battery pack. Its dedicated thermal-management system is engineered for temperatures from -30°C to 50°C.

Solar, storage and charging run as one system at a live mine

Participants saw electric trucks, intelligent fleet dispatch, solar generation, energy storage and ultra-fast charging operating together at a working mine. A centralized energy management platform coordinates power distribution, charging operations and fleet dispatching.

For remote mines with limited grid capacity, LGMG says combining on-site renewable generation, storage and high-capacity charging can reduce reliance on diesel-generated electricity.

LGMG upgrades global service and widens its electric lineup

LGMG also introduced an upgraded global customer service initiative covering spare parts, maintenance, intelligent mining operations and remanufacturing. It is aimed at customers moving to electrified, digitally connected fleets.

The company is expanding its electric equipment range for overburden removal, coal mining and challenging terrain. It is also developing solutions for high-altitude sites and extreme temperatures.
