Hackensack, N.J. – September 13, 2026 -- LiveU has become a Clarus Integrated Reseller, launching Hybrid Data, the first single managed plan combining cellular bonding and Starlink broadband for broadcast field production teams.
LiveU bundles cellular and Starlink into one invoiced service
Hybrid Data delivers and bills cellular data and Starlink connectivity through a single LiveU plan, replacing the need for separate contracts and support channels. Both connections operate side by side in the same workflow, allowing crews to draw on cellular and satellite bandwidth simultaneously during live transmission.
Starlink shifts from backup to primary bonded connection
LiveU said the plan reflects a broader shift in live production where Starlink is now bonded alongside cellular as a standing connectivity layer rather than an emergency fallback, keeping broadcasts online during outages, in rural dead zones, and in congested venues such as stadiums.
Hybrid Data rolls out first in the US and UK
The service will be available for LiveU's LU300S, LU800, and LU900Q field units across the United States and United Kingdom, targeting broadcast, sports, and field production customers.
Two core technologies underpin the bonded connectivity
LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) bonds cellular, Starlink, and other IP connections into a single stream and is used by more than 5,000 customers worldwide for daily live transmission. LiveU IQ (LIQ) continuously analyzes network conditions to select the best-performing cellular operators for a given location.
"Crews get a connection that adapts to whatever the field throws at them, a congested stadium, a rural dead zone, a remote shoot with no cell tower in range," said Gideon Gilboa, Chief Business Officer at LiveU. He said customers increasingly want cellular and Starlink managed under one plan and one point of contact.
LiveU to showcase the plan at IBC2026
LiveU will present its connectivity portfolio, including Hybrid Data, at IBC2026 on Stand 7.C24.
