Atlanta – October 01, 2026 -- Habitat for Humanity International has launched the Carter Circle, a new leadership-level giving program, naming Lowe's, State Farm, Wells Fargo and Whirlpool as its inaugural corporate partners.
Four major corporations commit to leadership-level housing investment
The four companies join 14 individual and family foundation donors as the founding members of the Carter Circle, a recognition tier for partners making strategic, high-level financial commitments to Habitat's affordable housing mission. Individual donors in the inaugural cohort include the Edwardson Family Foundation, the Larson Foundation, the Staley Family Foundation, and philanthropist J. Ronald Terwilliger, among others.
Program is named for former President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter
Habitat said the Carter Circle honors the housing advocacy legacy of former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International, said the group's support "extends far beyond homes, creating opportunities for families to thrive."
Corporate backing targets expanded access to affordable housing
Habitat positioned the new giving circle as a mechanism to fund expanded affordable housing access and stability pathways for families globally, deepening existing corporate sector engagement in the housing nonprofit's financing and construction initiatives.
