LX Pantos Completes Cross-Border Defense Logistics for Korea's AAM Delivery

Seoul – September 10, 2026 -- LX Pantos has completed a cross-border defense logistics project transporting air-to-air missiles (AAM) from France to South Korea for the Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps.

LX Pantos delivers AAM shipment for KAI-backed MAH program under DAPA oversight

The project, led by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), was executed by LX Pantos on behalf of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI). The AAM units, shipped by a European military contractor, were flown from Châteauroux Airport in France to Incheon International Airport aboard a dedicated charter flight organized by LX Pantos, then delivered by road to a Marine Corps unit in Pohang.

Charter flight carried missiles as sole cargo under Class 1.2 explosives classification

LX Pantos deployed a dedicated charter aircraft with the missiles as the only cargo to maintain security. The shipment was classified as Class 1, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E explosives, requiring the highest level of security screening. The operation had to comply with both the International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods regulations and national aviation security requirements.

Company secured overflight clearance from 14 countries across three regions

LX Pantos obtained overflight permits from 14 countries spanning Europe, the Middle East and Asia, coordinating multimodal transport through its global network, including European subsidiaries.

Security credentials underpin expansion into defense logistics market

LX Pantos has been expanding its defense logistics operations since receiving an "Excellent" rating in a 2024 security assessment by South Korea's Defense Counterintelligence Command. The company has also attained Assessment Level 3 (AL3), the highest tier under the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX), certifying its compliance with global information security standards.

An LX Pantos official said the project demonstrated the company's advanced expertise in safety, security and logistics, adding that LX Pantos will continue supporting global defense clients and strengthen its position in the defense logistics market.
