Seoul – September 10, 2026 -- LX Pantos has completed a cross-border defense logistics operation transporting air-to-air missiles (AAMs) from France to South Korea, executing the shipment for Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) under the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA)-led Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program for the Republic of Korea Marine Corps.
Missiles travel from Châteauroux to Incheon aboard a dedicated charter
The AAMs were shipped by European defense contractor M and flown from Châteauroux airport in France to Incheon International Airport aboard a charter flight arranged by LX Pantos. The missiles were transported as the sole cargo on the aircraft to maintain security. After landing, the shipment was delivered by road to a Republic of Korea Marine Corps unit in Pohang.
Shipment classified as Class 1.2E explosives under maximum security control
The cargo was classified as Class 1, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E explosives, placing it under the highest levels of security screening. LX Pantos structured the operation to comply with both International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods regulations and national aviation safety requirements governing defense materiel transport.
LX Pantos secures overflight clearance from 14 countries across three regions
To complete the route, LX Pantos obtained overflight permissions from 14 countries spanning Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company coordinated the multimodal movement through its global network, including its European subsidiaries, to manage the air-to-road handoff between Châteauroux, Incheon and Pohang.
Security credentials back expansion into defense logistics
LX Pantos has been scaling its defense logistics business since 2024, when it received an "Excellent" rating in a security assessment conducted by Korea's Defense Counterintelligence Command. The company has also achieved Assessment Level 3 (AL3), the highest tier under the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX), certifying its ability to meet strict global information security standards. A company representative said the project demonstrated LX Pantos' expertise in security, safety and logistics, and that the firm intends to keep supporting defense-sector clients worldwide while strengthening its position in the defense logistics market.
