Washington – September 29, 2026 -- Lyntris Inc. (NYSE: LYNX) has received production orders from Raytheon, an RTX business, covering Option Years Two and Three of the U.S. Army's Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) program, extending manufacturing commitments through 2028. The orders fall under a long-term purchase agreement the two companies established in 2023.
LTAMDS moves from development into full-rate production as Patriot radar replacement
LTAMDS is designed to replace the Army's Patriot radar system, delivering 360-degree surveillance and fire control from a single sensor and closing the rear-sector gap in the current fielded fleet. The system targets detection, tracking and engagement of maneuvering hypersonic weapons, cruise missiles and unmanned threats. Raytheon serves as prime contractor, with the Army now shifting the program into full-rate production.
Lyntris to build thermal management hardware at two U.S. facilities
Under the new orders, Lyntris will manufacture precision thermal management assemblies that support LTAMDS's active electronically scanned array (AESA) performance, combining liquid cooling circuits with tight-tolerance machined features to stabilize temperatures across high-power radar electronics. Production will run at the company's facilities in Newark, California, and Carson City, Nevada.
Vertically integrated manufacturing base built over two decades backs scale-up
Lyntris has produced RF and thermal management hardware for fielded radar programs for more than 20 years, in a market where qualification cycles are lengthy and few suppliers can hold tolerances required for high-power AESA arrays at volume. The company said its vertically integrated manufacturing consolidates work that would otherwise span multiple vendors, aimed at reducing schedule risk as the Army prioritizes accelerated fielding.
"LTAMDS is one of the U.S. Army's highest-priority modernization programs, and Raytheon needs suppliers who can hold quality while volume climbs," said Brian Morrison, CEO of Lyntris, noting the orders extend a partnership dating back 13 years.
Matt Parisi, Vice President at Lyntris, said thermal management determines AESA radar performance, since the array can only radiate what the cooling system removes, and that the company's process discipline is built to hold tolerances across repeated production shipsets.
