Made Scientific Buys 85,000 Sq. Ft. Cell Therapy Plant from National Resilience

Princeton – September 21, 2026 -- Made Scientific, Inc. has acquired an 85,000 sq. ft. clinical-to-commercial cell therapy manufacturing facility in East Norriton, Pennsylvania, from National Resilience, closing the transaction on September 18, 2026. The purchase expands the company's U.S. East Coast footprint to approximately 145,000 sq. ft. and 15 qualified GMP manufacturing suites across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Operational site eliminates greenfield ramp-up delays

The East Norriton facility is operational on close, with its manufacturing team having executed 145 GMP batches to date across autologous and allogeneic programs, including CAR-T and B-cell therapies. Made Scientific said sponsors can begin onboarding programs immediately, targeting 2027 clinical and commercial supply.

Facility includes eight cleanrooms and 30,000 sq. ft. of expansion space

The site holds multiple segregated GMP production areas comprising eight Grade B/C cleanrooms, one Grade C ballroom, and one Grade B fill-finish suite, alongside quality control and analytical testing labs and high-bay warehousing. An additional 30,000 sq. ft. of expansion space carries a design plan for eight further ballrooms. Made Scientific plans to equip the site with 3D bioreactor platforms scalable up to 200L, automated fill-finish equipment, advanced cell harvest systems, and lyophilization capacity.

Expansion adds capacity for MSC, exosome and engineered-tissue programs

The acquisition broadens Made Scientific's manufacturing scope to include client programs in mesenchymal stem cell (MSC), secretome, exosome and senolytic therapies, alongside immune-cell, iPSC-derived and engineered-tissue programs already supported in Princeton. Clients can transfer existing processes to the site or adopt the company's ReadyMADE platforms.

CEO cites demand for scale-ready manufacturing partners

"Sponsors advancing therapies toward approval require manufacturing capacity that is available when their programs reach it," said Syed T. Husain, Chairman and CEO of Made Scientific. He said East Norriton provides that capacity immediately, backed by a demonstrated GMP operating history, and described the deal as part of a manufacturing network built with a strategic shareholder that has backed the company since 2022.

Princeton site prepares for FDA pre-licensure inspection in early 2027

Made Scientific is preparing its Princeton facility for a commercial-stage FDA pre-licensure inspection (PLI) in early 2027, with the East Norriton site to follow. The move comes as the cell therapy CDMO sector consolidates, with capacity exiting the market even as more therapies advance into late-phase trials and regulatory review.
