Halifax, NS – September 07, 2026 -- Maritime Launch Services Inc. (CBOE: MAXQ) (OTCQB: MAXQF) and Isar Aerospace have pushed back the deadline for completing key work under their facilities usage agreement for Spaceport Nova Scotia by two weeks, from September 1, 2026, to September 15, 2026.
Companies extend deadline to finish statement of work and programmatic milestones
The extension gives both parties additional time to complete the statement of work and certain programmatic milestones tied to the agreement, which governs Isar Aerospace's dedicated launch complex for its Spectrum launch vehicle at the Nova Scotia site. No other key terms of the underlying agreement, first announced on July 7, 2026, were changed.
Executives cite intensive planning process behind the delay
"We are very pleased with the progress being made between both parties," said Stephen Matier, President and CEO of Maritime Launch Services. "The additional 14 days will allow us to complete that work and maintain the strong momentum we have established together."
Alexandre Dalloneau, Vice President Mission and Launch Operations at Isar Aerospace, said the two teams have engaged in intensive and productive work and that the extra time will let them finalize remaining details as the program moves toward execution.
Deal targets first orbital launches from Canada in 2028
The facilities usage agreement supports development of a sovereign orbital launch capability from Canada and extends Isar Aerospace's launch footprint into North America. Spaceport Nova Scotia is positioned as Canada's first commercial orbital launch complex, designed to place small and medium launch vehicles into low Earth orbit. First orbital launches from the site are targeted for 2028.
