MintNeuro Raises $5M to Scale Neural Device Chip Platform

London – October 07, 2026 -- MintNeuro, a London-based semiconductor company building specialised chips for neural devices, has closed a $5 million funding round to accelerate commercial scale-up of its chip platform for implants, wearables and brain-computer interfaces.

Odyssey Ventures leads round with US and European deep-tech backers

The round was led by Odyssey Ventures, with participation from 33East, JSK Investments and Alumni Ventures, alongside returning investors Empirical Ventures and Jumpspace Ventures. MintNeuro will use the capital to expand engineering and commercial teams, deliver pre-release silicon to partners and strengthen its presence in the US market while maintaining its UK and European base.

Motif Neurotech supply deal anchors commercial traction

MintNeuro has already delivered working silicon and reached integration milestones with partners including Motif Neurotech and Amber Therapeutics. Earlier in 2026, the company signed a multi-year commercial chip supply agreement with Motif Neurotech to support development of a minimally invasive neurostimulator initially targeting treatment-resistant depression.

Modular platform targets sensing, processing and stimulation in one system

MintNeuro's chips are designed for neural sensing, signal processing and stimulation, allowing device developers to combine functions at the system level for closed-loop interfaces with the nervous system. The company positions this against two existing paths: adapting generic components not built for implantation, or funding years of custom chip design.

Founded as a spinout from Imperial College London, MintNeuro's immediate focus is medical applications spanning Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, depression, hearing loss and inflammatory disease, where power consumption, size, reliability and safety requirements are strict. Dorian Haci, Co-Founder and CEO, said the funding moves the company "from technology validation to commercial scale-up," with more customer programmes and faster product launches.

Michelle Robson, Founding Partner at Odyssey Ventures, said the firm is backing MintNeuro's scale-up from the UK into global markets including Silicon Valley. A growing number of neural device companies are now evaluating or integrating MintNeuro's technology alongside research teams building implantable brain and nervous system interfaces.
