Cannes – – September 09, 2026 -- MIRAVA, a smartboat developer, has secured $5 million in angel funding to launch its debut model in Europe after three years of product development. The company will unveil its 7.9-meter smartboat at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, marking its first European market entry.
MIRAVA raises $5 million to fund production and small-series delivery
The angel round will support continued product development, manufacturing and delivery of the boat in limited quantities as MIRAVA prepares for its next commercialization phase. The company spent three years developing the platform, focusing on making advanced maritime technology practical rather than simply adding features.
Modular 7.9-meter boat offers electric and gasoline versions with autonomous features
The boat measures 7.9 meters long and 2.44 meters wide, accommodating up to eight people. The electric version runs on a 100-kWh battery with 150 horsepower, reaching speeds up to 20 knots, while the gasoline variant delivers up to 250 horsepower and a top speed of 30 knots.
The boat's modular rear section can be reconfigured into an extended platform or detached to function as an independent small dinghy. MIRAVA has integrated autonomous features including self-docking, dynamic positioning and an autonomous follow mode, allowing the boat to track users during swimming, stand-up paddling or diving via a wearable device.
MIRAVA targets European buyers with appearances in Cannes and Düsseldorf
MIRAVA will showcase the boat at stand POWER132 in Port Canto during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, followed by an appearance at boot Düsseldorf 2027. The company views Europe as a key market to demonstrate how intelligent technology and modular design can reshape recreational boating.
