Mueon Raises $65M Series A to Push 3D Modular AI Compute

Portland – October 15, 2026 -- Mueon Corporation has raised $65 million in a Series A round led by Maverick Silicon, lifting its total capital raised to more than $80 million as it moves its CubeletsTM modular compute architecture toward production readiness.

Intel Capital, Geodesic Alliances Fund, Oregon Venture Fund, M-Ventures, Wellington Capital, IQT and Defined also participated. The round follows a $15.5 million seed financing in 2025, when the Portland-based semiconductor systems company emerged from stealth.

Mueon targets up to 10X power and cost efficiency in the same rack footprint

The company says its architecture is designed to scale toward megawatt-class density as demand grows. CubeletsTM are modular, three-dimensional compute-and-memory building blocks. They shorten the physical distance data travels, which cuts the power cost of moving it, and avoid the sprawl of a traditional server rack.

Mueon treats packaging, interconnect, power and thermals as first-class design variables rather than problems to solve after the fact. It says the approach extends beyond any single accelerator technology.

Series A funds hiring and the shift from platform development to system validation

Mueon will use the proceeds to expand its engineering and operations teams, move CubeletsTM from platform development toward broader system validation and production readiness, and deepen customer engagements. Since the seed round, the program has grown to four execution tracks:

  • Silicon and system architecture: compute, memory and interconnect for scalable 3D systems.
  • Advanced integration: packaging, power-delivery and thermal approaches for higher density without rack-level complexity.
  • Software and system orchestration: a software layer that makes modular hardware usable through familiar AI frameworks and deployment workflows.
  • Ecosystem validation: work with technology, manufacturing and industry partners on the path from prototype to production.
Maverick Silicon and Intel Capital executives join the Mueon board

Manish Muthal, Senior Managing Director at Maverick Silicon, joins the board alongside Srini Ananth, Managing Director at Intel Capital. Ananth said the round reflects the engineering depth and ecosystem needed to bring the vision to market.

CEO and co-founder Wilfred Gomes said the financing gives Mueon "the scale to bring the next generation of compute and memory system-scale integration to market."

d-Matrix and Ampere Computing cite density and power limits as the draw

d-Matrix Co-founder and CTO Sudeep Bhoja said a modular architecture combined with in-memory compute could enable smaller, denser AI infrastructure and let d-Matrix experiment and deploy at new scales.

Rohit Vidwans, Co-CEO of Ampere Computing, now part of SoftBank, said large-scale data centers have been constrained by power and cooling limits for years. He said Ampere is working with Mueon as it de-risks the technology on the path toward production.
