Reach expands manufacturing footprint by 126% to meet demand
The Nanaimo, British Columbia-based marine technology and subsea equipment manufacturer is increasing its operating space from 3,559 square feet to 8,031 square feet, effective October 1. The expansion adds manufacturing, assembly and testing capacity to support the growing order book.
Workforce grows 41% since acquisition
Reach employed 17 people at the February 13, 2026 closing of its acquisition by NameSilo. The team has since grown to 24 employees.
Hydrophone-array winch systems drive new international orders
Reach shipped a first-of-its-kind winch system valued at approximately US$105,000 to a customer in Europe and expects to ship a second unit to the United Kingdom shortly. The company also delivered three smaller winch systems to Sensor Technology Ltd. in Canada for hydrophone-array applications, with one unit demonstrated at REPMUS, an international maritime unmanned systems exercise in Portugal.
Based on current customer discussions, Reach anticipates additional orders for hydrophone-array equipment from customers in Europe and the United States, though the company cautions there is no assurance such orders will materialize or on what timing or value.
