EAIGLE Rebrands Gate AI as Blue Gate, Cuts Dwell Times to 30 Seconds

Toronto – October 01, 2026 -- EAIGLE closed its inaugural Yard of the Future Summit in Toronto by rebranding its gate automation technology as Blue Gate and reporting gate dwell times below 30 seconds with 5x throughput gains at facilities using its computer vision platform.

The two-day event drew more than 100 supply chain leaders from Walmart, P&G, Kraft Heinz, Mondelez, Kimberly-Clark, Staples and Loblaw, including a live demonstration of EAIGLE's gate automation at a Loblaw distribution center.

Gate automation delivers ROI in six months or less, EAIGLE says

Facilities deploying EAIGLE's system report fewer theft and fraud incidents, lower detention fees and reduced turnaround times alongside the throughput and dwell-time improvements. The technology eliminates paper-based workflows and manual audits by converting existing camera infrastructure into computer vision sensors for driver entry and vehicle identification.

Clean Power Alliance Launches Zero-Cost Daytime Rate Pilot for 4,000 Homes

Los Angeles – October 01, 2026 -- Clean Power Alliance (CPA) will eliminate generation charges entirely from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for more than 4,000 Southern California households as part of a two-year pilot testing whether zero-cost daytime electricity shifts consumer behavior.

CPA zeroes out generation rates during an eight-hour daily window

Under the Time-Of-Use-SMART (TOU-SMART) pilot, participants will pay $0 per kilowatt-hour for generation during CPA's super-off-peak period, while on-peak charges from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. remain elevated and overnight off-peak rates from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. will rise slightly. CPA estimates customers could save hundreds of dollars annually by shifting activities like EV charging, laundry and HVAC use into daylight hours, with additional savings available to customers enrolled in CPA's EV SmartCharge program.
