No Stalking Horse Bidder for Cleveland's 925 Euclid Ave; Bids Due Oct. 24

Cleveland – September 22, 2026 -- Inglewood Associates and Gordon Brothers confirmed that the court-appointed Receiver overseeing the sale of 925 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland has not selected a stalking horse bidder, despite months of marketing the 1.45 million-square-foot historic tower.

Bidders opt for open auction over stalking horse role
Numerous prospective purchasers who engaged in detailed discussions with the Receiver and his advisors indicated a preference for participating in a subsequent competitive auction rather than committing as a stalking horse bidder for the property, according to the joint announcement.

Court-approved timeline holds despite bidder decision
The absence of a stalking horse designation does not change the sale schedule authorized by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Qualified bids remain due on or before October 24, 2026, and interested parties must continue following the court-approved bidding procedures and deadlines.

Property draws global investor interest despite structural uncertainty
Gordon Brothers and Inglewood Associates said the marketing process continues to generate substantial interest from local, national and international investors, developers, and unique users. The property sits at the intersection of East 9th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland's central business district and is known historically as the Huntington Building and the Union Commerce Building.

Receiver retains flexibility on transaction path
Consistent with the court-approved sale procedures, the Receiver retains the ability to pursue whichever transaction path is determined to maximize value for stakeholders, including a competitive auction if qualified bids warrant one.
