Northern Jet Earns IS-BAO Registration for International Flight Safety

Orlando, Fla. – October 02, 2026 -- Northern Jet has achieved Stage 1 registration under the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), a credential issued August 31, 2026 and valid through August 31, 2028.

Charter operator passes three-day audit to secure global safety standard

The registration, developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), followed an extensive preparation process and a three-day audit examining Northern Jet's flight operations, policies, procedures and Safety Management System. IS-BAO is built on internationally accepted standards for aircraft operations, emphasizing structured safety management, risk identification and organizational accountability.

New credential adds to existing ARGUS Platinum and WYVERN ratings

Northern Jet already holds ARGUS Platinum status and WYVERN Wingman PRO certification, with its Safety Management System rated SMS Level 4 under Wyvern's evaluation framework. The system also complies with FAA Part 5 requirements. The IS-BAO registration adds a third independent safety validation for clients, aircraft owners, corporate flight departments and industry partners.

Registration arrives as fleet expands with ultra-long-range Gulfstream G550

The IS-BAO milestone follows Northern Jet's July addition of its first Gulfstream G550, an aircraft with an approximately 6,500-nautical-mile range that expands the company's capacity for long-range domestic and transatlantic missions. Northern Jet operates aircraft spanning light, midsize, super-midsize and heavy jet categories, alongside helicopter charter, jet-card memberships, fractional ownership and aircraft management services.

Tim Reeve, Director of Safety at Northern Jet, said the audit provided a detailed review of how safety is incorporated into daily operating decisions. Chris Bull, CEO of Northern Jet, said the registration strengthens the operational foundation behind the company's expanding international capabilities as it coordinates with aviation partners across markets including Europe.
