Tokyo – September 23, 2026 -- Notta has launched two new integration tools, Notta MCP and Notta CLI, allowing AI agents to pull meeting transcripts and summaries directly into their workflows without manual export steps. The tools became available to all users on all plans starting September 23, 2026.
Notta MCP connects AI agents to meeting data via a standard protocol
Notta MCP uses the Model Context Protocol, a standard for linking AI applications to external tools, to let compatible agents such as those built on Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor retrieve Notta transcripts, read completed summaries, and locate specific meeting records on request. Previously, users had to manually find a recording, export or copy its transcript, and feed it into their agent separately.
Under the new system, a user can instruct a connected agent to find a specific Notta recording, review its transcript and summary, and apply that context directly to another task, such as revising a project brief. Notta supplies the raw meeting data while the agent generates suggestions, which users can verify against the original conversation before implementation.
Notta CLI offers command-line access for scripts and terminal-based workflows
Notta CLI provides a command-line interface enabling users, scripts, and agents to retrieve transcripts and summaries, monitor transcription progress, and download exports through terminal commands. Both MCP and CLI support uploading audio and video files for transcription and exporting associated transcripts or media.
The two tools serve distinct technical entry points: MCP integrates with agents that support local MCP connections, while CLI operates directly within terminal environments. Users can adopt either interface based on their existing setup without installing both.
Access requires an existing Notta account and authorization, with MCP dependent on a client supporting local MCP connections and CLI requiring terminal access.
