Limassol, Cyprus – October 09, 2026 -- NuxGame has launched native tournaments, leaderboards and wager races on its casino platform, letting operators run competitions on any game from any provider without studio approvals. The feature is available to real-money and sweepstakes casino operators from launch.
NuxGame replaces studio-run tournaments with an operator-owned engine
Most iGaming tournament mechanics are run by individual game studios, which limits operators to providers that offer them and to the terms those providers set. NuxGame's engine puts rules, prize tables and point rates in the operator's hands across any mix of providers in its library.
Tournaments sit alongside bonuses, achievements and tier programs in the NuxGame gamification toolset. They target three commercial outcomes: higher average bet size, player attention steered to chosen games, and retention across a full campaign period rather than a single session. Schedules can be daily, weekly, monthly or custom, including wager races scored on turnover.
Operators set prizes, point rates and entry thresholds from the back office
Setup runs through the NuxGame back office with the following controls:
- Prizes: ranks and rewards per place, paid as cash to the player's balance, shop points or experience in the operator's tier program. The system totals the full prize cost before activation.
- Games: selection by provider, game type, category or individual title across content connected via the casino API integration. At launch the feature covers casino content only.
- Point rates: a base rate for turnover per point, with per-game overrides to raise rates on promoted titles and lower them on titles the operator does not want farmed.
- Entry thresholds: a minimum qualifying bet, a minimum number of bets and a minimum total turnover.
- Presentation: custom banner, colors, prize display, countdown timer, and rules text in every language the operator runs.
A risk setting excludes turnover-risky games, titles whose transaction behavior lets players earn more points than the mechanic intends. Operators can run up to ten tournaments simultaneously, and results appear in platform reporting.
Players get a live leaderboard and a dedicated tournaments page
Each casino on the platform gets a tournaments page listing upcoming and finished events, with banner, rules, prize table, eligible games and a live leaderboard. Positions update in real time after each qualifying bet. Operators can also show the active tournament on the casino homepage. On sweepstakes casinos the setup flow, filters and leaderboard work the same way, with prize types adapted to that model.
NuxGame frames point overrides as a margin lever
Denis Kosinsky, Chief Product Officer at NuxGame, said point overrides turn a promotion into a margin instrument, since preferred games pay better and games operators do not want farmed pay less, a lever operators did not previously have.
NuxGame suggests three uses: launching new titles with a points race instead of a static banner, building seasonal campaigns around events such as Halloween or winter holidays, and offering dedicated tournaments on a studio's games as promotional value in provider negotiations. Segmentation by tier or by players active in specific games is the next planned addition.
