Las Vegas – September 15, 2026 -- Oakwell Beer Spa has signed its first-ever franchise agreement, bringing the Denver-born wellness concept to Las Vegas through husband-and-wife operators Andrew and Gina Lanzino. The deal marks the Colorado-based brand's initial expansion outside its home state since it began offering franchises earlier this year.
Oakwell targets more than 100 U.S. growth markets after two years of corporate-owned operations
Founded in Denver in 2021, Oakwell currently operates two company-owned locations in Denver and Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The brand pairs private spa suites featuring hydrotherapy tubs, infrared saunas and rain showers with a craft beer and wine taproom, a model designed to reduce dependence on licensed service-provider staffing that constrains traditional spas. Oakwell has identified over 100 target markets nationwide and is actively pursuing franchise development in Phoenix, Austin, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, Kansas City and Charleston.
Founding franchisee brings two decades of MGM Resorts strategy experience
Andrew Lanzino, an Air Force veteran who relocated to Las Vegas in 2004 and earned a bachelor's degree and MBA from UNLV, spent more than 20 years as a corporate strategist. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Citywide Events at MGM Resorts International, working on Super Bowl LVIII, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix and Strip New Year's Eve programming. He now teaches Strategy & Implementation at UNLV's Harrah College of Hospitality while pursuing a PhD in Global Tourism & Hospitality. Gina Lanzino founded and serves as President of 5678 Dance, a Las Vegas nonprofit supporting local dancers, and has a background spanning sales, marketing and operations.
Lanzinos target Las Vegas Arts District for the brand's debut location
The couple is evaluating sites with a focus on the Las Vegas Arts District, an off-Strip neighborhood known for independently owned businesses. Andrew Lanzino first encountered the beer-spa concept at a facility in Prague during his MBA studies and had searched for years for a way to bring it to Las Vegas before connecting with Oakwell.
Founders scaled the concept after a 14-month, 25-country hospitality research trip
Oakwell co-founders Jessica and Damien Zouaoui spent 14 months traveling through 25 countries researching hospitality concepts before launching the brand and building it toward franchising. Damien Zouaoui, Chief Growth Officer, said the Lanzinos "embody everything we were looking for in our first franchise partners" as the company moves from two corporate units toward national scale.
