Olympus Partners Sells MEI Industrial Solutions to 26North

Stamford – October 15, 2026 -- Olympus Partners has agreed to sell MEI Industrial Solutions, a U.S. equipment execution services provider with nearly 2,500 employees, to 26North Partners LP. The announcement did not disclose financial terms or a closing timeline.

MEI provides rigging, machinery moving, industrial storage, millwrighting, custom crating and integrated logistics. Its customers include data center and semiconductor operators, as well as other industrial end markets.

MEI expanded from 16 to 30 locations under Olympus ownership

During Olympus' ownership, MEI entered Chicago, Miami, Providence and Richmond. It quadrupled indoor storage capacity to more than 10 million square feet and completed seven strategic acquisitions.

Olympus hired CEO Doug Dayton during its ownership period. Together they strengthened the commercial organization and built a regional leadership structure backed by corporate infrastructure. Olympus also credits MEI with maintaining an industry-leading safety program throughout the expansion.

Olympus credits technology and leadership investments for a unified national platform

Sam Greenberg, Partner at Olympus, said targeted investments in leadership and technology integrated MEI's geographic footprint into one national platform. He described the resulting service quality and consistency as unprecedented in the industry.

Dave Cardenas, Managing Partner at Olympus, said MEI captured substantial market share in high-growth end markets and rapidly launched new services to meet evolving customer needs.

Dayton plans to build on growth with 26North

Dayton attributed MEI's growth over the past three years to its employees and its partnership with Olympus. He said the company will build on that momentum with 26North in its next growth phase.

Lazard and Baird advised on the transaction

Lazard served as financial advisor to both MEI and Olympus, led by George Fisher and Bob Frost. Baird also served as a financial advisor. The Olympus deal team comprised Dave Cardenas, Sam Greenberg, George Swenson, Marty Durkin and Tanaya Bhakat.
