Miami – October 01, 2026 -- Managed service providers running Kaseya's unified IT platform save an average of $2,600 per technician per month, while internal IT teams save approximately $2,900 per staff member, according to a new independent study by Omdia.
Unified platform delivers six-figure annual savings for mid-sized teams
For a 10-person MSP team, the savings translate into more than $312,000 annually; a comparable internal IT team saves roughly $350,000 per year. The findings, commissioned by Kaseya and conducted by Omdia, are based on 16 in-depth interviews with eight MSPs and eight internal IT teams in North America that migrated to Kaseya's Datto RMM, Autotask PSA and IT Glue after using competing tools, alongside five non-Kaseya customers surveyed between March and April 2026.
Operating costs drop 33% for MSPs, 24% for internal IT teams
MSPs reported 33% lower IT operating costs and 12% higher contract margins after consolidating endpoint management, service desk operations and documentation into a single workflow. Internal IT teams cut operating costs by 24% and redirected nearly 19% of their budgets toward cybersecurity and employee training initiatives.
Technicians handle up to 27% more endpoints without added headcount
MSPs using the unified platform managed 27% more endpoints, processed 23% more tickets and supported 15% more clients per technician. Internal IT teams handled 14% more tickets per staff member and supported up to 10% more users and endpoints with existing staff levels.
Ticket resolution speeds up by 32% for MSPs under unified workflow
MSPs cut ticket resolution times by 32% and first-response times by 36%, while internal IT teams achieved 11% faster resolution. MSPs also improved SLA compliance by 17%, resolving an average of 83% of tickets within target windows. Internal IT teams reported a 10% rise in employee satisfaction tied to faster issue resolution and proactive support.
