Gwacheon, South Korea – – October 08, 2026 -- Park Systems Corp. captured 23.8% of global atomic force microscopy (AFM) revenue in 2025, retaining the top industry ranking for a fourth consecutive year from 2022 through 2025, according to QY Research's Global Atomic Force Microscopy Market Report.
Park Systems leads both revenue and unit shipments in 2025
The South Korea-based company sold 340 AFM systems during the year, the highest unit volume among manufacturers tracked in the study, while also topping the market on revenue share.
Global AFM market set to nearly double by 2032
QY Research pegs the global AFM market at $508.69 million in 2025, projecting growth to roughly $1.01 billion by 2032 at an 11.23% compound annual growth rate. Industrial Grade AFM systems, used for automated wafer metrology and 200/300 mm wafer handling in semiconductor process control, are forecast to expand faster, at a 15.72% CAGR. Despite making up only 14.54% of unit shipments in 2025, Industrial Grade systems generated 43.41% of total market revenue, reflecting their higher per-unit pricing.
Semiconductor and electronics customers anchor Park Systems' core revenue
The report identifies fabs, foundries and IDMs, alongside electronics, display and storage manufacturers, as Park Systems' primary high-value customer base, with universities, national laboratories and materials and life-science institutions rounding out its client portfolio.
NX1 launch extends Research Grade AFM lineup
In April 2026, Park Systems introduced NX1, a Research Grade AFM built for atomic-scale imaging under ambient conditions. The system uses a rigid, thermally stable architecture intended to suppress mechanical noise and deliver repeatable high-resolution imaging for scientific research applications.
Acquisitions broaden measurement portfolio beyond AFM
Park Systems acquired Germany's Accurion GmbH in 2022, adding imaging spectroscopic ellipsometry and active vibration-isolation technologies to its product line. In 2025, the company acquired Switzerland's Lyncée Tec SA, incorporating digital holographic microscopy and extending its nanometrology offering for both research and industrial customers.
