Lexington – September 23, 2026 -- Peachtree Entertainment has been named co-owner and exclusive operator of The Rail, a new 2,200-capacity live music venue rising within The Commons entertainment district in Lexington, Kentucky, with a grand opening set for early 2027.
Peachtree Entertainment takes operational control of a 2,200-capacity venue inside a 43-acre district
Under the partnership with developer The Commons, Peachtree Entertainment will run operations, marketing, sponsorship and select programming for The Rail. The venue sits within The Commons, a 43-acre mixed-use entertainment district on a former tobacco processing campus one mile from downtown Lexington, developed by Turner Properties. More than thirty businesses already operate on the campus.
Venue design targets 1,000-plus theater-style seats and national touring acts
The Rail will offer more than 1,000 seats for theater-style events, six full-service bars, two outdoor decks, premium VIP spaces and an exclusive membership program. Backstage amenities include three dedicated dressing rooms and an artist lounge, built to support national touring productions alongside sound and production infrastructure.
Location puts venue within a day's drive of seven regional markets
The site is positioned within a day's drive of Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Columbus, Knoxville and St. Louis, a factor Peachtree Entertainment SVP of Booking Dustin Labbe said makes The Rail "an ideal routing stop for national tours," bringing added economic activity to Central Kentucky.
First shows to be announced later in 2026 ahead of 2027 launch
Operators plan to unveil the venue's first wave of booked shows later this year, ahead of the early-2027 grand opening. Peachtree Entertainment has previously helped launch touring careers for artists including Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan and Ella Langley, and holds partnerships with venues and universities nationally.
VisitLex President Mary Quinn Ramer said the venue extends the city's growing entertainment offerings and is designed to encourage visitors to stay longer in the region.
