PickleRage Enters California, Adds Third Florida Club

Miami Beach, Fla. – September 24, 2026 -- PickleRage, one of the largest indoor pickleball club franchises in the United States, is opening its first California location in Bakersfield and a third Florida club in Tampa, the company confirmed.

Bakersfield becomes PickleRage's entry point into California and the West Coast

The Bakersfield club will be the franchise's first in California, owned and operated by local franchisees Daniel Marlowe and Jon Knutson. CEO Rich Destasio called the move an important step in the brand's broader West Coast expansion strategy.

Tampa marks PickleRage's third Florida club as the brand deepens its footprint in a top pickleball market

The Tampa location, owned and operated by Eric and Grania Garnighian, will give players in the Tampa area a dedicated indoor venue for year-round play. Destasio noted that continued expansion in Florida reflects sustained demand for indoor pickleball facilities in one of the country's leading markets for the sport.

Clubs feature CushionX courts and structured programming for all skill levels

PickleRage locations use professional-grade CushionX playing surfaces along with dedicated lighting, sightlines and social spaces. Facilities offer beginner lessons, multi-level open play, leagues, tournaments and clinics, positioning the format as a climate-controlled alternative to outdoor courts subject to weather disruption.

Specific addresses and opening timelines for the Bakersfield and Tampa clubs will be disclosed as development progresses, according to the company.
