PointClickCare Appoints Ex-Appen CEO Ahmad to Board as Eberle Exits

Toronto – October 15, 2026 -- PointClickCare has appointed Armughan Ahmad, former chief executive of AI data company Appen (ASX: APX), to its board of directors as the health tech company pushes an AI-first strategy, while Rob Eberle steps down after more than 11 years on the board.

Ahmad brings 25 years of enterprise technology leadership to the board

Ahmad has led multi-billion-dollar businesses through shifts from enterprise data centers to cloud computing to artificial intelligence. At Appen, he led a company serving leading AI labs, hyperscalers and large enterprises.

Before Appen, he was President and Managing Partner of Digital at KPMG, where he ran a digital business delivering services with software products. Earlier, as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Dell Technologies, he oversaw the Hybrid Cloud and High-Performance Computing solutions portfolio, including bringing AI systems to market with NVIDIA.

Ahmad advises C-suite executives and sits on two other boards

Ahmad currently advises C-suite executives on using AI to turn services into software and invests in AI-first software start-ups. He serves as an independent director at Flexential, which manages 40 data centers across the U.S., and as a board director of Trillium Health Partners, an Ontario hospital system.

PointClickCare ties the appointment to AI-first strategy

Co-founder and CEO Dave Wessinger said Ahmad's record of scaling technology businesses and guiding AI strategies through major industry shifts will support the company's push for clinical and operational innovation for customers. The appointment adds board capabilities across technology, SaaS and AI, according to the company.

Ahmad said he aims to work with the leadership team to accelerate the AI strategy and fuel the next phase of growth.

Eberle concludes more than 11 years of board service

Rob Eberle has left the board concurrent with Ahmad's appointment. Wessinger thanked Eberle for his leadership and contributions during his 11-plus years as a director.
