Dell'Oro Group Hires Frank Yang to Lead Data Center Optical Connectivity Research

Redwood City, Calif. – October 01, 2026 -- Dell'Oro Group has appointed Frank Yang, a 25-year veteran of networking and data center technologies, to build out its coverage of the Data Center Optical Connectivity market.
Yang will build forecasting models spanning 800G to 3.2T optics
Yang's mandate centers on quantitative forecasting models covering 800G, 1.6T, and 3.2T pluggable modules, coherent optics, near-packaged optics (NPO), and co-packaged optics (CPO). He will also track the evolution of server Ethernet adapters and smart NICs as AI cluster scaling strains traditional interconnect capacity.
